Mitsubishi Receives Two Good Design Awards

Good Design Awards
In recent years, Mitsubishi has been undergoing something of a renaissance. Peruzzi Mitsubishi is proud to announce that the company’s outside-the-box thinking has just been rewarded with two Good Design awards for excellence in design and innovation. Good Design Awards date back to 1950 when prestigious designers Edgar Kaufman Jr., Ero Saarinen, Charles Eames, and Ray Eames first established the award. It’s meant to honor the pushing of boundaries in manufacturing and product design. This year, Mitsubishi’s 2018 Eclipse Cross and GT-PHEV Concept were the recipients of this coveted prize, presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. New to the U.S., the 2018 Eclipse Cross is a sleek five-passenger CUV that blends the best features of an SUV and crossover. The sophisticated design combines the sharp looks of a sporty coupe with Mitsubishi's outstanding handling and technology. And of course, there are many of Mitsubishi’s signature touches, including their Dynamic Shield front design. The Mitsubishi GT-PHEV Concept is just that, a concept. You won’t see this one on the street in its current form yet, but many of the groundbreaking features will soon appear in production models. These include its proprietary electric and all-wheel control technologies. The two Good Design awards sitting on their shelf are proof that Mitsubishi is relentless in their quest to push the envelope of possibilities. Mitsubishi Wins Top Tech Award

Peruzzi Mitsubishi in Fairless Hills, PA is excited and proud to share some big news: Mitsubishi has been awarded the 2020 Future Digital Awards Technology Award (Technology and Innovation Category) for its breakthrough “Road Assist+” app. What makes this smartphone app so outstanding? Let’s get to it. Juniper Research is the firm behind this award; they specifically study companies of all kinds who are “disrupting” the old ways of doing things and delivering imaginative products/services to make consumer’s lives better. The Mitsubishi Road Assist+ app does just that. Here’s how it works. First off (and most importantly), this smartphone app (also compatible with the Mitsubishi integrated touch screen) provides drivers with 24-hour emergency roadside assistance, with services including free fuel and fluid delivery, lockout help, jumpstarts and more. Plus, the “hazard monitoring” feature provides a real-time, at-a-glance look at upcoming terrain and conditions and assists you in adapting your driving. One fun side to the app is that it provides a “driving score” so you can see – literally – how safely you’re doing on your journey (or aren’t). It’s never been easier to have help at your fingertips – literally -- to drive both safer and smarter. But this innovative service app takes it to another level: it can monitor a driver’s unique behavior on the road and convert that information into personalized discounts and other great, targeted Mitsubishi cost-saving offers and rewards (including insurance breaks). This groundbreaking connectivity ensures that Mitsubishi drivers using the Roadside Assist+ app are better covered, both from a safety aspect – and a money-saving aspect. The Mitsubishi Roadside Assist+ app is available in Google and Apple's App Stores, and is compatible with Android™ and iOS® devices*. Got questions? The tech experts at Peruzzi Mitsubishi in Fairless Hills, PA are here to answer them and show you more. Congratulations to Mitsubishi on this forward-thinking award!

Mitsubishi Developing Hybrid Version of 1917 Model A

As we explored in our last blog post, Mitsubishi Motors is celebrating its 100 th anniversary this year. In celebration of this remarkable milestone, Mitsubishi is embarking on quite an unusual yet exciting project – a plug-in hybrid version of the 1917 Model A, the very first car that Mitsubishi ever produced. With the help of West Coast Customs, the California auto shop made famous on the MTV series Pimp My Ride, Mitsubishi is hoping to bring this 20 th century relic towards the cutting edge of 21 st century automotive technology. While the updated Model A will physically resemble the original 1917 version, its platform will be based on the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), which itself is not yet available in the United States. The original Model A ran on a 2.8 liter, 4-cylinder engine with just 35 horsepower, but the new PHEV engine comes to 119 horsepower and will include two electric motors and a 12-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery pack. These two motors will give the vehicle a smooth four-wheel drive, with one motor powering the front wheels while the other powers the back. Despite its distinction as Mitsubishi’s first production car, the Model A wasn’t particularly successful when it first came out 100 years ago – in fact, only 22 were built between 1917 and 1921, including prototypes. Hopefully Mitsubishi will get the opportunity to make at least a few more once this PHEV version is completed, which is expected to be sometime this summer. We may not have the Model A PHEV quite yet, but in the meantime you should stop by Peruzzi Mitsubishi and check out some of Mitsubishi’s other exciting vehicles. We have an incredible selection of both new and certified pre-owned Mitsubishi vehicles in stock, such as the 2017 Outlander or the 2015 Lancer Evolution.  Stop by today and find the car of your dreams at a reasonable price!
