2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Although relatively small as far as SUVs go, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is one of the Japanese company’s most popular vehicles. With its compact design and EPA fuel economy (24 mpg in cities, 30 on highways), the Outlander Sport can get you around very efficiently.

The 2017 model was recently released, with all the features of the 2016 model, plus a few additional ones.

What’s the same

The Outlander Sport still has two rows and five seats, and side curtain air bags that offer extra safety for both rows. On the exterior, the vehicle features 18-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, cruise control and heated side mirrors for a better driving experience in any kind of weather.

The SE, SEL and AWD GT 2017 models still use the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine as the 2016 Outlander Sport.

And, as with all Mitsubishi vehicles, the Outlander Sport comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty (read more about it and other available warranties here).

What’s different

All 2017 Outlander Sport Models comes with a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna as well as automatic climate control. Plus, the 2017 front-drive GT and ES models have a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 148-horsepower and either a manual or continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), which allows drivers to essentially shift seamlessly between gears.
