2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

The new 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has been released in Japan and it features many exciting new additions and upgrades. The 2019 Outlander PHEV was previously unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in 2018. The 2019 PHEV features a newly developed battery and completely redesigned engine. The new battery provides a significant increase to capacity and output and the new engine provides a significant upgrade on horsepower and torque. In addition, the two new driving modes will provide a vastly different experience from any previous Outlander PHEV. Read on to discover the new 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and what makes it such an incredible upgrade.

The brand-new battery of the 2019 Outlander PHEV provides an extra 10 percent battery output and a capacity that’s increased by 13.8 kWh. New cells added to the battery provide a significant upgrade in capacity. The upgraded engine pushes the 2019 Outlander PHEV from 117hp and 141 lb-ft of torque to 133 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque. All this means that you will get a significant power increase along with a better battery in order to support it.

The new 2019 PHEV will reach a top electric speed of 84 mph, which is an increase from 2018’s 78 mph. You can go from 0-62 mph in 10.5 seconds, which makes it 0.5 seconds faster than the 2018 model. In addition to these changes, the 2019 model will have new front and rear shock absorbers that make for a smoother ride at lower speed and better cornering at higher speeds. The updated version will also feature a new traction control system and larger front disc brakes for better stopping power.

In addition to all these exciting upgrades, there are also two new driving modes in the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Sport driving mode gives you’re a sharper throttle response and better grip to give the 2019 Outlander PHEV a sportier feel. The new Snow driving mode improves low-grip launching and cornering abilities on slippery surfaces. It’s great for driving in the snow that we often get in Pennsylvania winters or even in the rain.
