10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty
When you purchase a new Mitsubishi vehicle from an authorized dealer, you’re eligible for the Powertrain Warranty. This covers replacing or repairing select transmission, transaxle or engine parts for 10 years or 100,000 miles in most models. While other car makers typically offer powertrain warranties, none of them come close to our 10-year, 100,000-mile, since most run for 5 years or 60,000 miles.
New Vehicle Limited Warranty
Like our Powertrain Warranty, any new owners of a Mitsubishi vehicle are eligible for this. The 5-year, 60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty offers coverage for every single one of your Mitsubishi parts. There are, however, some exceptions, like the battery, tires, light bulbs and parts of the navigation system—each have their own separate warranties. Meanwhile, the norm in the industry is 3 years or 36,000 miles.
Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty
For 7 years or 100,000 miles, your outer body sheet metal panels are protected from rust due to normal wear and tear. Any corrosion that occurs because of accidents, abuse, alterations, abnormal use, or materials like sand, salt, hail and acids isn’t covered. Other brands’ anti-corrosion warranties only last for 5 years.
It’s important to note that there are some exceptions to Mitsubishi warranties. The Lancer Ralliart, Lancer Evolution and i-MiEV models have the industry standard for the Powertrain and Vehicle Limited Warranties. These three have the full 7-year, 100,000-mile Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty, though.
