Congratulations! You’re about to take delivery on a new car.  Before you leave the house, make sure you have everything you need to make that process seamless and problem-free.  The sales experts at Peruzzi Mitsubishi have seen enough over-eager car buyers who show up without key documents and thus, put a hitch in the process.  So here’s your checklist to make it super-easy.  Any questions?  Contact Peruzzi Mitsubishi for simple, straightforward answers.

DRIVER’S LICENSE, CAR INSURANCE

Two key items (obviously).  If this is your first car, do a little homework to see what kind of comprehensive car insurance you should have.  It can make a huge difference, especially if (like most people) you’re financing a vehicle.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE

A utility bill should do it.  To be on the safe side, bring a couple of them.

PROOF OF INCOME

A pay stub plus a bank document (like a checking account statement) will suffice.  Make sure that it matches up with any info you put on your credit application.  If the dealership needs to talk with your bank, it will speed the process of finalizing an auto loan.

YOUR DOWN PAYMENT

You can reduce your monthly car payments by putting something “up front.” A down payment can be made through a personal check, certified check or cash.

THE TRADE IN

Many car buyers opt to trade in their old vehicle as part of the deal.  Ensure that you’ve done a few things to get the best deal possible.  First, give your old car/truck a thorough cleaning (inside and out).  Check the glove box and trunk for anything you’ll want to save.  That includes things like an automatic garage door opener (easy to overlook!).

TIME

The car-buying process generally takes some time. So bank on it. Carve out a chunk to ensure that you can comfortably review any paperwork and other details.

Doing a “checklist” of the above items will make purchasing your new vehicle from Peruzzi Mitsubishi super-easy – and a real pleasure.
