2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Even though the Outlander Sport is already Mitsubishi’s top selling model, the recently unveiled 2018 model is sure to cement its place on top for years and years to come. Debuting at last month’s New York International Auto Show, the 2018 model of this sleek crossover SUV includes exciting upgrades inside and out, from its entertainment system to its safety features. If you weren’t a huge fan of the Outlander Sport already, the 2018 model will turn you into one.

The new Outlander Sport comes with one of two powertrain options – the standard 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, or the beefed up 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine with 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque. Along the outside are new front and rear bumpers designed with off-roading in mind, as well as LED daytime running lights. Inside the vehicle, you get a new infotainment system featuring a larger display screen and, more importantly, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity systems, which make smartphone use on the road simpler and safer than ever.

The optional Touring Package for the Outlander Sport, however, is where the new features of the 2018 model truly shine. Along with a panoramic roof and improvements in noise, vibration, and harshness for more peaceful driving, the Touring Package also includes advanced safety and driver assistance technology. Automatic high beam headlights, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and a rear camera all ensure the safest possible driving experience.

The 2018 Outlander Sport is expected to hit Mitsubishi lots this fall, and you can be sure to find one here at Peruzzi Mitsubishi. However, if you want to get your hands on one of the previous Outlander models, we have plenty of those in stock today. You can find a new 2017 Outlander Sport for as low as $17,530, or a pre-owned 2014 model for as low as $13,499! In fact, more than half of our new vehicle inventory consists of Outlander Sports, so you’ll certainly find the right one here at Peruzzi Mitsubishi. We look forward to seeing you!

As we explored in our last blog post, Mitsubishi Motors is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. In celebration of this remarkable milestone, Mitsubishi is embarking on quite an unusual yet exciting project – a plug-in hybrid version of the 1917 Model A, the very first car that Mitsubishi ever produced. With the help of West Coast Customs, the California auto shop made famous on the MTV series Pimp My Ride, Mitsubishi is hoping to bring this 20th century relic towards the cutting edge of 21st century automotive technology.

While the updated Model A will physically resemble the original 1917 version, its platform will be based on the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), which itself is not yet available in the United States. The original Model A ran on a 2.8 liter, 4-cylinder engine with just 35 horsepower, but the new PHEV engine comes to 119 horsepower and will include two electric motors and a 12-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery pack. These two motors will give the vehicle a smooth four-wheel drive, with one motor powering the front wheels while the other powers the back.

Despite its distinction as Mitsubishi’s first production car, the Model A wasn’t particularly successful when it first came out 100 years ago – in fact, only 22 were built between 1917 and 1921, including prototypes. Hopefully Mitsubishi will get the opportunity to make at least a few more once this PHEV version is completed, which is expected to be sometime this summer.

We may not have the Model A PHEV quite yet, but in the meantime you should stop by Peruzzi Mitsubishi and check out some of Mitsubishi’s other exciting vehicles. We have an incredible selection of both new and certified pre-owned Mitsubishi vehicles in stock, such as the 2017 Outlander or the 2015 Lancer Evolution.  Stop by today and find the car of your dreams at a reasonable price!

Congratulations to Mitsubishi Motors, which is celebrating its 100th Anniversary as an automotive company this year! Founded in 1870 by Yataro Iwasaki, Mitsubishi was originally established as a shipping firm. In an effort to compete with the great technological advancements of the time, however, the company introduced its first motor vehicle, the Mitsubishi Model-A, in 1917.

The Mitsubishi Model-A was Japan’s first series-production automobile. Following its great success, the company achieved another automotive first with the creation of the Mitsubishi PX33 in 1937, which was Japan’s first passenger car with four-wheel drive.

Following the end of World War II in 1945, Mitsubishi Motors resumed its production of automobiles, and despite Japan’s struggling post-war economy, the company still managed yet another triumphant success with the creation of the Mitsubishi 500. In 1962, the Mitsubishi 500 set a new course record at the Macau Grand Prix, scoring the growing company yet another victory.

Hoping to expand its reach in overseas markets, Mitsubishi joined forces with American automotive group Chrysler during the 1970s to bring its cars to America. Chrysler sold the Mitsubishi Galant as the Dodge Colt, which proved itself to be a huge success for both Mitsubishi and Chrysler. By 1982, Mitsubishi Motors was ready to be introduced independently to the American market, and in 1989, the company introduced the Galant VR-4, which went on to win Motor Trend’s Import Car of the Year.

With more than 40 years of American success under its belt and a century of producing quality automobiles, Mitsubishi continues to amaze. Come celebrate by taking a trip to Peruzzi Mitsubishi and seeing for yourself the results of Mitsubishi’s 100 years of innovation. Whether you’re looking for a new or used Mitsubishi vehicle, Peruzzi Mitsubishi has a tremendous inventory of both types of vehicles. Get into a certified pre-owned Mitsubishi today, and help celebrate Mitsubishi’s 100 years of quality vehicles. We’d be more than happy to show you all that this legendary company has to offer. Happy 100th Anniversary Mitsubishi, and may another 100 years bring even more quality cars!

This past March, Mitsubishi Electronics unveiled new technology to advance the development of self-driving cars. The tech allows vehicles to automatically map landscapes and then transition between areas.

The system uses artificial intelligence and Mitsubishi’s Mobile Mapping System (MMS). The maps will be incredibly precise and offer data about streets and nearby objects, and be able to update in real time to adjust for traffic lights, other cars and more.  The MMS collects the data through scanners, a GPS and cameras, and the A.I. accesses it.

Many self-driving cars rely on old map and GPS data for navigation. These vehicles, however, run into difficulties when other vehicles unexpectedly get too close or you drive on to a small dirt roads that might not be in the GPS data bank. Although Mitsubishi will use some of this same information, their new features will allow their driverless cars to form a map 10x faster than competitors and still be cheaper.

This is far from the first time Mitsubishi has experimented with autonomous driving technology. For a number of years, Mitsubishi Electric has made self-driving cars their priority by reusing existing technology. For example, the company took the guiding equipment it helped create for Japanese missiles and applied it to their cars a few years ago. Mitsubishi hopes that by 2020 it will be able to sell these autonomous driving systems to markets around the world.

Mitsubishi is dedicated to innovation. Their latest models use state-of-the-art technology to give you an incredible driving experience. Come to Peruzzi Mitsubishi today and experience one of these vehicles for yourself. With over 200 new vehicles, you’re sure to find a cutting-edge model that perfectly suits your needs. The 2017 Geneva International Motor Show is on, and automakers have gathered to reveal their new models and concepts. Among them is the all-new 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross compact SUV, launching later this year. Rather than replacing any current Mitsubishi vehicles, it aims to fill a gap between the RVR and Outlander.

One important new addition is that the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with standard all-wheel drive. It also has a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a manual CVT (continuously variable transmission). A 2.2-liter turbocharged option will also be available overseas, but seems unlikely to cross over into the U.S.

With a forward-raked hatch, a crease along the side and new rear fenders, the Eclipse Cross’s exterior is new, but not radically so. Even with these changes, the vehicle still has that classic crossover look. Autoblog.com even said that the vehicle’s Mitsubishi shield grille might just be the best looking one yet.

On the inside, there is a redesigned slanting downwards center stack with radio, climate controls and more. A touchscreen on the dashboard that can link with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Rear seats can slide and recline, to give either your passengers or your cargo more room.

Although no official prices have been announced yet, the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is set to release in Europe this fall. Other regions, like the U.S., will soon follow.

Stay tuned for the exciting arrival of this new vehicle at Peruzzi Mitsubishi. In the meantime, check out our other new Mitsubishi vehicles, like the Mirage and the Outlander Sport. Contact us today to schedule a test drive in your next Mitsubishi vehicle!

2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Although relatively small as far as SUVs go, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is one of the Japanese company’s most popular vehicles. With its compact design and EPA fuel economy (24 mpg in cities, 30 on highways), the Outlander Sport can get you around very efficiently.

The 2017 model was recently released, with all the features of the 2016 model, plus a few additional ones.

What’s the same

The Outlander Sport still has two rows and five seats, and side curtain air bags that offer extra safety for both rows. On the exterior, the vehicle features 18-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, cruise control and heated side mirrors for a better driving experience in any kind of weather.

The SE, SEL and AWD GT 2017 models still use the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine as the 2016 Outlander Sport.

And, as with all Mitsubishi vehicles, the Outlander Sport comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty (read more about it and other available warranties here).

What’s different

All 2017 Outlander Sport Models comes with a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna as well as automatic climate control. Plus, the 2017 front-drive GT and ES models have a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 148-horsepower and either a manual or continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), which allows drivers to essentially shift seamlessly between gears.

Whether you want a 2016 or the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Peruzzi Mitsubishi has the vehicle for you. With an extensive lineup of new Mitsubishi Outlander Sports, you’ll find the exact type you’re looking for. Contact us today and set up a test drive!

At Drive One Auto Sales, we have put our drivers first since 1981 with our Buy Here Pay Here Program. Over the years, we have helped people with bad credit receive auto loans in the Philadelphia region.

Our Buy Here Pay Here Program yields drivers a multitude of benefits, including an impressive selection of program vehicles that are PA inspected, warranty options, weekly or bi-weekly payments, insurance option available, a referral club and the ability to keep the vehicle after payments are completed.

We are proud of our winning tradition of helping drivers in the area succeed by not being shackled to their financial constraints. With Super Bowl LI coming up in just a few days, we are focusing on other winning traditions in addition to ours. Here are some of the most notable dynasties in NFL history.

New England Patriots

There is no better place to start than the New England Patriots, who will be playing the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 5th. The Patriots will be making their ninth Super Bowl appearance in their history and eighth since 1997. The duo of head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, a former sixth-round draft pick, has been lethal, winning it all in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2015.

Dallas Cowboys

If you live in the Philadelphia area and are a die-hard Eagles fan, you might want to skip to the next section. The Dallas Cowboys were the first team to win three Super Bowls in a span of four years. Troy Aikman helped the Cowboys defeat the Bills in consecutive seasons in 1993 and 1994 while winning against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1996.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Speaking of the Steelers, they one-upped the Cowboys by being the lone NFL team to win four Super Bowls in six years (1975, 1976, 1979, 1980). With Hall of Famers such as quarterback Terry Bradshaw and running back Franco Harris on their roster, it’s no wonder they were successful.

San Francisco 49ers

The final team on our list is the San Francisco 49ers. This powerhouse in the 1980s was powered by legends such as quarterback Joe Montana and one of the best wide receivers in NFL history, Jerry Rice. Montana led the way to the championships in 1982 and 1985 and was then joined by Rice to also win in 1989 and 1990. After Montana suffered recurring injuries, Steve Young stepped in and was the signal caller for the 49ers’ Super Bowl triumph against the San Diego Chargers in 1995.

Just as these teams enjoyed a great amount of success over the years, you can win as well by taking advantage of Drive One Auto Sales’ winning tradition and rising above your poor credit with one of our auto loans in the Trenton, NJ region.

What sets Mitsubishi vehicles apart? Well, for starters, they have unbeatable warranties. There are three main options to choose from: the Powertrain Limited Warranty, the New Vehicle Limited Warranty and the Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty. Let’s take a closer look:

10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty

When you purchase a new Mitsubishi vehicle from an authorized dealer, you’re eligible for the Powertrain Warranty. This covers replacing or repairing select transmission, transaxle or engine parts for 10 years or 100,000 miles in most models. While other car makers typically offer powertrain warranties, none of them come close to our 10-year, 100,000-mile, since most run for 5 years or 60,000 miles.

New Vehicle Limited Warranty

Like our Powertrain Warranty, any new owners of a Mitsubishi vehicle are eligible for this. The 5-year, 60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty offers coverage for every single one of your Mitsubishi parts. There are, however, some exceptions, like the battery, tires, light bulbs and parts of the navigation system—each have their own separate warranties. Meanwhile, the norm in the industry is 3 years or 36,000 miles.

Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty

For 7 years or 100,000 miles, your outer body sheet metal panels are protected from rust due to normal wear and tear. Any corrosion that occurs because of accidents, abuse, alterations, abnormal use, or materials like sand, salt, hail and acids isn’t covered. Other brands’ anti-corrosion warranties only last for 5 years.

It’s important to note that there are some exceptions to Mitsubishi warranties. The Lancer Ralliart, Lancer Evolution and i-MiEV models have the industry standard for the Powertrain and Vehicle Limited Warranties. These three have the full 7-year, 100,000-mile Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty, though.

And, at Peruzzi Mitsubishi, you get an added bonus: unlimited roadside assistance for 5 years. So don’t wait, get to Peruzzi Mitsubishi today for your brand new Mitsubishi. We offer a wide selection of new Mitsubishi models eligible for all warranties. Learn more about our warranty programs and contact us today!
